Two denial-of-service flaws in older Eclair versions were disclosed
Bitcoin Optech, a technical newsletter, reported on October 2 that two bugs in older releases of Eclair were privately reported to its developers. Both could be used to knock a node offline. Eclair is software for running a Lightning Network node.
Why it matters for Bitcoin: Lightning is a network built on top of Bitcoin for fast payments, and responsible disclosure means flaws are reported to developers before the details are made public.
